Media law guru Emma Sadleir says the Twitter user who wrote that Ferial Haffajee “deserves a bullet in the head” can face criminal charges.
Haffajee, the Editor-at-large at HuffPost South Africa, recently wrote an article about her experiences of online hate and threats.
A Twitter user, with the handle @Mbuyazi04, sent Haffajee a direct message which used several expletives and threatened her life. Read more here:
