We are absolutely super excited to announce that we have gone online!
Emma now offers her school presentation as a course that you can purchase and watch in your own time (as we all are super busy human beings). Her presentation is split up into different segments with a range of questions after each section for you to complete.
The course uses South African and International examples. Upon completion of this online training course you receive a certificate to state that you are a responsible digital citizen and that you know the legal, disciplinary and reputational risks of social media. (Cool!)
WHO NEEDS TO DO THE COURSE?
Anyone who owns a smartphone, tablet, iPad, laptop or desktop;
If you are exposed to the dangers and pitfalls of social media;
WHAT DOES THE COURSE ENTAIL?
Protecting your digital identity and being safer online;
WhatsApp and Facebook groups, being held responsible as an admin;
Selfies, nudes, sexting, sharing of defamatory content and making jokes online, the do’s and the don’ts;
What to do when posted something you shouldn’t have;
Social media and the law;
Gaming and addiction;
Blue light, brain development and much more!
This course is designed and presented to cover all ages from 10 – 18 years. Children under the age of 10 are most welcome to participate but we do recommend parental guidance.
It takes approximately 2 – 3 hours to complete in one sitting but you can do this in your own time and save the sessions as you go.
To enrol in this course is super easy! You use your email address and open your own account. Upon purchasing your course, you will receive a unique code to start the course. You can do the course from anywhere, your smartphone, laptop, desktop or tablet/iPad.
The course consists of 10 training sessions. Each session has a short training video by Emma, after the video your learning is reviewed in a quiz before you can proceed to the next session.
